The Modern Age is characterized by a number of themes running throughout the course text and additional assignments. The following theme, Genocide was chosen, address it by creating an original work which you will share with your classmates and instructor in the Final Project Exhibition discussion forum.

• Genocide

The final work will be a six-page research paper. You are encouraged to think openly and choose a format in which you can express yourself; however it is your responsibility to submit your project either as an attachment along with your Final Project Reflection Worksheet, or provide a link to your project in the Final Project Reflection Worksheet as an assignment to be graded.

You are encouraged (but not required) to share your Final Project with the class in the Final Project Exhibition discussion forum. If you have created a document (a paper, an image, a PowerPoint presentation, etc.), attach the file to your discussion post.

In the title of your post, include the topic and the title of your project.

Completing the Final Project Reflection Worksheet

The Final Project Reflection Worksheet:

1. Must thoroughly complete all questions on the Final Project Worksheet, which is attached. The paper must include in text citations and a bibliography.

2. Must include a title page with the following:

a. Title of project

b. Student’s name

c. Course name and number

d. Instructor’s name

e. Date submitted

3. Must answer the following questions:

a. Why did you choose your topic?

b. How does your project relate to your chosen topic? Why did you choose to do this particular type of project?

c. What six sources did you use? How did they affect you? What impact did the knowledge gained from your sources have on your project?

d. What kind of statement is your project making about your topic?

e. How did working on this project change your perspective on the topic?

f. What conclusions have you drawn after completing your project?

4. Must use at least six scholarly sources from the shared resource section, which are attached to this thread, one of these sources must be from a non-American perspective.

5. Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

6. Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
