Assignment “Change Theory”

Your nurse manager has asked you to select a team of nurses from your unit to assist you in implementing a long needed change. You will need to change the way that the nursing staff performs shift – to – shift reporting. You are currently giving report to each other in the break room and the nurse manager has decided that in the next two weeks you will transition to report being endorsed at the bedside. As you approach this change project you will need to adapt a leadership style to guide you as well as a change theorist to support your process to change implementation.

Refer to the readings assigned for this week to assist you in identifying a leadership style and change theorist to support your

· Prepare a 2-3 page scholarly paper discussing:

· Provide information to support your selection of leadership style? How will this leadership style support your proposed change?

· Explain why you have chosen the change theorist identified? How will the change theorist you selected assist you in approaching your proposed change and goals for the implementation of this change?

· Design and outline the steps that you have identified in preparing for the implementation of your proposed change.
