Week 3 Sermon Series
Read the Book of Acts. Based on your readings, create a 12 week sermon series outline which follows the stories of this Book. Your document should be no less than 3 pages in length and have supporting Bible verses for each week’s message. In addition to the 3 page sermon series, you will attach your supporting documents for your weekly message. This will include your story that you collect from the internet (Google/Yahoo) or a journal for the story section of the sermon series. What messages will you pull out?
Please follow the guideline below to appropriately address the needs of this assignment.
Week 1: Acts Chapter 1: Verse 1:4 “On one occasion while He was eating with them, He gave them this command: ‘Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father has promised, which you have heard me speak about.’”
Message: Often in life we try to rush things instead of staying put. God is patient and sometimes we have to wait on Him before we look at escaping a situation. We must wait and respect the presence of God and know that He has a plan.
Story: Integrate the story of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs (Here you will pull an article or Google search and you will attach a copy of the information at the end of your assignment. The story does not have to be excessively long. In the event of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, the story which would be pulled would discuss the beginning of IBM and Apple and how these 2 men rushed to see who could get contracts done first.)
