Discussion on TLC. We used four different analgesics (Acetaminophen, caffeine, Ibuprofen and Aspirin). Solvent used were 95mL Ethyl acetate and 5mL acetic acid. We examined the dry TLC under UV light and marked the separation. Then we found the retention factors: Aspirin = 0.63cm, Acetaminophen = 0.48cm, Caffeine = 0.30cm and Ibuprofen = 0.75cm.
