Develop your strategic analysis and communication skills by concisely applying the concepts and frameworks learned in class to real business situations.

Case write-up assignments allow you to develop your strategic analysis and communication skills by concisely applying the concepts and frameworks learned in class to real business situations..

Cases present messy problems to which there are not always single, precise solutions (although some solutions are generally better than others). A written case analysis must focus on and address the questions assigned for that particular case (posted on Canvas) and should integrate and apply the theory, concepts, and frameworks from the relevant chapters and lectures to case facts. When specified in the case questions, the analysis should also make brief, supported recommendations (not all cases write-ups include recommendations). Analyses should be based only on the case materials, at the time the case was written – do not include or rely on outside research or information in your write-up. The analysis should not be a summary of the case or a list of issues. Assume that your reader is familiar with the background of the case, and integrate case facts with related chapter concepts specifically to support your arguments. You should edit carefully for grammar, spelling, etc.Cases cover a wide range of issues and problems – focus on the posted questions

• Write-ups should present your analysis and application of chapter concepts to the case; do not just review case facts
