Child Care Provider
Tri-Fold Preschool Brochure
Imagine that you have opened your own preschool facility and are designing a brochure to promote your program. This brochure will be a tri-fold (3) brochure (created on Microsoft word). Your purpose is to make this brochure appealing and easy to read so that parents can read this brochure and will want to enroll their children in your school. You may use anything in your notes, book, or internet in order to create your brochure. Your brochure must contain the following items:
1. You need to create a name for your preschool. The name of your preschool needs to reflect the developmental growth of children AND needs to be creative.
2. State the philosophy of your preschool education program along with 3 program goals that clearly reflect physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and moral development of children.
3. The daily schedule of your preschool and how often you meet. You need to list, in 30 minute increments what the children do each time you meet.
4. Activities:
– You need to describe 1 inside OR 1 outside activity that children would participate in at your facility that would help them in each of the following areas (be sure to include how the activities help with each specific type of development):
o Physically (how would this inside or outside activity help with their small and/or large motor skill development)
o Intellectually (what would they learn doing this inside or outside activity)
o Socially (how would they learn to get along with others while doing this inside or outside activity)
5. You need to describe in detail the wellness policy of your center. What is your policy regarding sick children? When can parents bring their children and when would they need to leave their children at home?
6. You need to describe how often things are sanitized at your preschool and the method used for sanitizing. Although you may include hand washing as part of your sanitizing process, you need to be sure to include how toys, tables, and things like that are sanitized.
7. Describe 5 behavioral expectations you have for the children that are developmentally appropriate, stated in a positive manner.
8. Describe 5 qualities of the professionals working at your facility.
9. Describe why you believe your facility is a quality child care program.
10. Include at least 3 graphics on your brochure that relate to the topics you’ve included in your brochure.
11. Remember to proofread, proofread, proofread for spelling and grammar errors!! You need to have several people proofread you brochure before you ever start on the final draft. Fold your brochure to make sure your information fits attractively on the sheet. Remember that you need to proofread this from the perspective of a parent.
